The Section of Biostatistics, Department of Public Health is offering a new type of statistical consultancy for Ph.D. students and employees at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences.
The Statistical Café is an open door meeting place for Ph.D. students, employees and statisticians at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences with the intention to facilitate statistical supervision.
How can we assist?
We will have statisticians around to discuss statistical problems related to
• Statistical analysis
• Interpretation of results
• Statistical software and data management
We do not offer computational services such as server use or other hardware solutions.
Who is eligible for help?
Ph.D. students and employees at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences
How to get help?
The café is open each Wednesday from 2 to 3 pm. It is situated at Section of Biostatistics, Department of Public Health, CSS, room 5.2.46.
The setup is “first come first served” and the statisticians on duty administrate the available time.
In times of high demand there may be some waiting time and even though we do our best we cannot guarantee help to everyone that shows up. Problems relating to specific statistical software and data management may or may not be resolved, as not all statisticians are familiar with all software packages.
Participants are encouraged to discuss their problems with each other while waiting.
How to prepare?
Please prepare your questions meticulously. Also have the statistical software up and running on your laptop and be ready to demonstrate on request.
